SuperMotocross World championship more commonly known as Monster Energy  AMA Supercross is an off-road motorcycle racing championship that is sponsored by Monster Energy Drink and was originated by the American motorcyclist association (AMA).
 

History

The first motocross off-road motorcycle race occurred in 1948 in a stadium in Paris.

Later on, as the prevalence of motocross racing upsurged among people in the United States in the late 60s, Mr.Bill France, an American businessman, and the racing driver added a proficient motocross race in Daytona Bike Week which took place in 1971. Since then AMA motocross events were sponsored by different promoters however Monster Energy has been their title sponsor since 2008.
 

Race format and schedule

The SuperMotocross series 2024 will commence from January to October.

The race is divided into 3 different classes, 450cc Class, 250 West, and 250cc East,

 in which 17 rounds will be held in 450cc Class, 09 Rounds in 250cc West, and 09 Rounds in 250cc East. In these classes, racers participate with different machines manufactured by well-known Motorcycle companies such as Yamaha, Husqvarna, Kawasaki, Honda, KTM, and Suzuki.

Out of all these categories, 450cc Class Champion is considered the most esteemed among others.
 

Track

SuperMotocross track is built within the premises of a sports stadium, these tracks are mostly shorter in length as compared to other motorcycle race tracks. These tracks are built from soil and dirt, with extreme terrain changes like turns, irregular jumps, step-ups, and downs. These obstacles make it very exciting for the fans and enhance their overall experience of the race.
